Have you ever had one of those days where you woke up and all you wanted to do was shut the blinds, pull the covers over your head and sleep the day away?

I know I sure have!

On those days it can seem nearly impossible to find the will power just to get out of bed, let alone do all of the necessary things that are required to build a successful coaching practice.

Those are the days when you need to have a “Big Dream” that you can tune in to that will give you the motivation you need to do what you know needs to be done.

Your Big Dream is emotional. It’s meaningful. It’s big, hairy and audacious!

In fact, it’s so audacious that you may never share it with others for fear that they will try and “steal” your dream by telling you how unrealistic it is.

It is okay that you keep this to yourself if you want – or only share it with people you KNOW will support you.

In fact, I recommend it. This Big Dream is not meant to be realistic or grounded. It is meant to inspire you and motivate you. It is YOUR dream!

Sometimes you will decide to share with others and that’s okay too – in fact, it can be incredibly helpful if you do – to both you AND to the people you share it with.

I remember hearing about a Big Dream that was SO big, I almost laughed at the person who told it to me.

This was back when I was the Marketing Manager for T. Harv Eker, CEO of Peak Potentials Training and author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.

During one of our executive planning retreats, Harv wrote the number of people he wanted to share the “Millionaire Mind” message with on the board so that his team of people who were responsible for taking the actions that would realize his dream could see exactly where he wanted to go.

The number was 1,000,000.

Then Harv told us a story that changed the way I think about “Big Dreams” forever. He told us how he’d been speaking at a Mark Victor Hansen event recently and had shared with Mark his dream of helping 1,000,000 people by sharing with them the Millionaire Mind philosophy.

Mark, as you may know, is one of the co-creators of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, which has sold over a billion copies.

That’s billion, with a B.

When Harv told Mark about his Big Dream, Mark asked him… “Why are you thinking so small?”

I almost fell out of my chair because just a few minutes earlier I had been laughing (on the inside, of course) about the feasibility of reaching 1,000,000 people.

Something began to shift in me that day. The idea of “thinking big” was never real to me before, but Harv & Mark showed me that there is literally no limit to what we can imagine for ourselves and for the world around us.

Incidentally, Harv has now surpassed his 1,000,000 goal and is moving steadily towards that 1 Billion!

My Big Dream is to help improve 100,000 people’s lives by helping coaches build more successful businesses.

I can do that by helping 1,000 coaches each help 100 more people than they would have been able to help without me.
